SAP RUN FIDDLE INSTRUCTORS AND WORKSHOP LEADERS

 

Sarah Hotchkiss directs the Vermont Fiddle Orchestra and Sap Run Fiddlers.  She provides a variety of workshop with an emphasis on teaching beginning students and Welsh Traditional Tunes.

John Mowad is the Assistant Director, Music Arranger, and Back-up leader of the Vermont Fiddle Orchestra and has taught many Sap Run Fiddle workshops focusing on American and French Canadian tunes.

Sarah Blair is a well known Irish Fiddler and has co-taught many workshops and camps alongside Sarah Hotchkiss.  Her focus with Sap Run Fiddlers is on Irish Tunes.

GUEST INSTRUCTORS AND WORKSHOP LEADERS

Pete Sutherland is a well known Vermont Fiddler who is a master of many styles and has also been a guest and many camps and events run by Sarah Hotchkiss.  We enjoy having Pete do workshops on Vermont Tunes!

David Kaynor is known all over New England as a Dance Caller and Folk Musician.  David has brought Swedish Tunes to our young fiddlers!

Andy Stewart and Mary Jo Slattery are known for their Cajun music and have brought us great workshop on Cajun fiddling, singing, and guitar backup.

Roger Perrault, an Old Time New England Fiddler from Essex, VT and recent soloist with the Vermont Fiddle Orchestra brings us New England Tunes.

Katie Trautz plays Old Time Fiddle, Sings with "Katie Trautz and the Tall Boys, and directs Summit School for Traditional Dance and Culture.

Beth Telford, is a Cape Breton Fiddler from Braintree, VT.  She teaches at various locations in Central Vermont and hosts Cape Breton Camps and events.
